Anneloes van der Linden
Anneloes van der Linden creates
paintings on canvas with mixed media and
acrylic.
Mixed media means the use of sand,
paper, watercolours, chalk, dust, leafs,
etc.
Men and nature mainly inspire her. In
her paintings she tries to express the
visual and not-visual aspects of people,
animals and nature by abstracting
figurative elements. In doing so she
slowly increases tension in the painting.
Bodies and people are interesting as
long as they are shown anonymous. Her
colours are usually warm and rich, her
brush-strokes spontaneous. Sphere and
emotion give a special significance to
her work. To her a painting shouldn’t be
too obvious, but intriguing instead.
That is why she works on the crossroad
between perfection and imperfection, in
which an accidental brushstroke, a
colour, line or clot of paint is part of
the process. |
